The posts recruited through SSC CHSL are placed in different pay levels under
the 7th Central Pay Commission.
- Lower Division Clerk (LDC) / Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA):
Pay Level-2 – ₹19,900 to ₹63,200 - Data Entry Operator (DEO):
Pay Level-4 – ₹25,500 to ₹81,100 /

SSC CHSL 2026 Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualification:
- Candidates must have passed
Class 12th Standard or an equivalent examination
from a recognized Board or Council. - Candidates appearing for the qualifying examination should ensure that
they possess the required qualification by the date specified in the
official SSC notification.
2. Age Limit:
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 27 Years
- Candidate must be born not earlier than
02-08-1999 and not later than
01-08-2008, subject to the conditions of the official notification. - Upper Age Relaxation:
SC/ST: 5 years | OBC: 3 years |
PwBD: applicable relaxation as prescribed |
